Until Python 2.9 - we had to install pip manually.

Since Python 3 - we can use commands to install pip.

Command to execute on your windows command prompt to install pip:

python get-pip.py

Once pip is installed, it may need updates or new packages.

Below command is to update pip :

python -m pip install -U pip

Useful pip commands: 

pip search - It will allow you to search through the packages with central package repo.

pip list – It will list all the currently installed packages along with their versions.

pip freeze – It will show installed packages in your desired format.

E.g. pip freeze > my_requirements.txt

pip install - It will install the packages and dependencies in your environment.

E.g. pip install pandas
